Chronic Pain & Chronic Illness

There isn’t one perfect path to healing. Not for everyone. Not all the time.
And when it comes to chronic pain or chronic illness, that truth feels especially important.
Many of the folks I work with have tried a lot of things already—treatments, specialists, programs, books, diets. Often, they come to therapy not looking for a fix, but looking for someone who will truly listen. Someone who believes their experience. Someone who won’t push a one-size-fits-all answer, but who will walk alongside them while they explore tools that might actually help.
In our work together, I won’t promise to take away the pain or make the illness disappear. What I will do is help you find a blend of tools and approaches that support your body, nervous system, and story with compassion.
A few of those tools might include:
IFS (Internal Family Systems) – to explore the emotional parts of ourselves that may be carrying pain or fear.
Somatic Experiencing – to gently reconnect with your body in a way that feels safe.
Pain Reprocessing Therapy – a promising approach that helps retrain the brain’s relationship to chronic pain.
Nervous System Education – because understanding what’s happening in your body can reduce fear and build self-trust.
You're not imagining this—and you don’t have to face it alone.
Living with chronic pain or illness can feel hopeless. But even small moments of relief matter. If you're curious about what working together might look like, you’re welcome to book a consult here.
