Divorce is an area of my work that holds a special place in my heart—because it’s part of my own story. My divorce in 2018, after a nearly 20-year marriage, shaped not only my personal path but the professional work I now do with others navigating this deeply transformative experience.
You can read more about my story here.
If you’ve spent any time on my website, you’ve probably read that I don’t believe there’s one right approach to healing or growth that works for everyone, every time. We’re all wired differently. We carry different stories. And different things work for different people at different times.
That’s especially true after a divorce.
Your healing journey after divorce is uniquely yours. When I walk alongside someone in this space, I bring a variety of tools we can explore together—always letting your system lead. That’s part of the beauty of this work: I don’t decide what’s right for you. You do.
Some of the approaches I love using with folks healing from divorce include:
Hakomi (a mindfulness-based, body-centered therapy)
DARe (Dynamic Attachment Re-patterning experience)
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Each of these modalities can gently support you as you reconnect with yourself, uncover how your past relationships have shaped your patterns, and begin to rebuild from a place of clarity and self-trust.
